We are delighted to announce our programme of workshops for 2021, and are so looking forward to welcoming guests to the garden again.

**All our workshops are subject to COVID-19 restrictions in force at the relevant time.  If we need to cancel workshops as a result of rule changes, we will of course make a full refund of your ticket price.**

Garden to Vase Workshop

with Elworthy Flowers

Tuesday 23rd August, 10am – 1pm

£45 per person

Colourful flower arrangement in a pale green jug

Enjoy a tour of the historic walled garden and learn about the British flowers that are growing at the height of summer. Choose and cut your own bucketful of blooms and turn them into a gorgeous vase arrangement with expert guidance from Catherine of Elworthy Flowers. Bring your favourite vase or we can supply one at a small extra cost. Finish with tea/coffee and home-made cake.

DIY Wedding Flowers Workshop

with Elworthy Flowers

Tuesday 7th September, 10am – 4pm

£125 per person

Learn how to create perfect wedding flower arrangements using the beautiful seasonal flowers grown at Howbury. If you are a bride, bridegroom, bridesmaid, mother of the bride or groom then this workshop is for you.  Our guests will learn how to create beautiful bridal bouquets, buttonholes, centrepieces and hairpieces from flowers which they will select and cut from the historic walled garden. With expert tuition and advice from Catherine of Elworthy Flowers, the day also includes a delicious home-made lunch and a glass of fizz.

Eco Installation Masterclass

with Elworthy Flowers

Monday 13th September, 10am – 4pm

£180 per person – limited numbers

Under expert tuition from Catherine Elworthy, learn how to create two different types of floral arch, full to the brim of seasonal foliage and flowers cut from the gardens at Howbury Hall.  You will also learn how to create and install a large hanging hoop.  Learn the mechanics behind these installations and how to keep the flowers fresh and watered without the use of floral form.  You will forage for foliage, cut your own flowers and learn how to create these displays that are perfect for a church, marquee or other venue.

Places on this workshop will be strictly limited so that everyone has a fully hands-on experience. 

A delicious lunch made from produce grown on the estate will be provided.

Eco Urn Masterclass

with Elworthy Flowers

Monday 4th October, 10am – 1pm

£75 per person

Create your own large urn arrangement, overflowing with seasonal flowers and foliage, perfect for a wedding, church or marquee display. The talented Catherine Elworthy will teach you how to make a wire-based structure – no floral foam in sight. Forage for foliage and cut your flowers from the walled garden and gardens at Howbury. The workshop ends with tea or coffee and delicious home-made cake on the terrace.
