DIY Wedding Workshop

Learn how to create the perfect flower arrangements for your wedding using the beautiful seasonal flowers grown at Howbury.
If you are a bride, bridesmaid, mother of groom then this workshop is for you. It takes place on the terrace and our guests will learn how to create beautiful bridal bouquets, button holes, centre pieces and flower crowns. Walk round the walled garden at Howbury to select your flowers and then create the arrangements under expert guidance from Catherine at Elworthy Flowers. The day includes a delicious home-made lunch and glass of fizz.

Christmas wreath-making workshops

Create a beautiful moss-based wreath with fresh foliage from the farm
Start the festive season in style with a beautiful, moss-based wreath. We gather bundles of foliage from the farm for your wreaths and you can also choose fresh red roses which fade beautifully over the Christmas period. Expert tutor Sue Billington provides step-by-step instructions, and help is on hand to ensure that everyone goes home with a lovely wreath to adorn their front door. We finish each session with festive refreshments.

Eco-friendly Floristry Masterclass
Monday 14th October, 10am to 4pm
£140 per person
Would you like to develop your floristry skills using eco-friendly methods? A full day’s workshop where you will learn a variety of eco-friendly floristry design techniques including large-scale floral installation. No non-biodegradable floral foam in sight!
The morning session focusses on techniques to create table centres, urn arrangements and funeral tributes using eco alternatives to floral foam. In the afternoon our guests will use late summer blooms and foliage from the walled garden to create larger structures and installations including a flower arch and hanging ball or hoop.
The workshop will be led by Catherine Elworthy from Elworthy Flowers, using beautiful foliage and flowers cut from the walled garden at Howbury Farm Flowers. It will run from 10-4 pm and includes a delicious lunch on the terrace. The course is aimed at those who have some basic floristry experience and are looking to advance their skills and introduce eco friendly methods in their work. Guests will be invited to dismantle and take away parts of the installation and flowers at the end of the day.
